Google Maps: Driving Simulator
Monday, June 16th, 2008

Geoquake has recently released sort of a bird’s view driving simulator purely based on the Google Maps Flash API.
Well, in my opinion the “simulation” is a bit far-fetched, as you can pass through any object, like houses etc. (Surprisingly, this simulation works better for me than maps.google.com, where I mostly see gray tiles.)

Videos On Google Map: Car Chase Scene
Thursday, June 12th, 2008

Seero.com is a nice service that allows users to mash and sync videos with a Google map. One user mapped a car chase scene from the movie Bullitt with Steve McQueen: to the left you’ll see the video, and to the right the related San Francisco locations.
Interesting! The movie is pretty old though.
