Google Directory Has Updated

Well I havenâ€™t seen this mentioned on any of the SEO forums, I didn’t look hard, but we had an update of the contents and an export of Google Directory PR.

I now see my new Regional link that I added up to DMOZ (it got approved with in 2 weeks) in the Google directory. I have had some people email letting me know the order and PR has changed.

If you have seen any good threads on this drop it in the comments please.

October 19th Toolbar PR & BL Export

Well just like GoogleGuy and Matt Cutts said, it is happening. Check out my 5 years PR History page.

I predicted Oct 21 for the Toolbar Pagerank export so I was only 2 days off.

I am predicting the next Toolbar PR export for Jan 25/2005. The way I come up with my date is to take the last 5 Toolbar PR exports and averaged them out. See below.

Oct 19th plus 97 days is Jan 25th 2005. With BL’s I just add a month.

Toolbar Pagerank and Backlink exports are now boring as they don’t effect the search engine results position. If you see any movement at that the same time it is only because of everflux or in some cases Google does an algorithm update at the same time as they do a Toolbar Pagerank and Backlink export.

Matt Cutts just announced on his blog that there is a Backlink and Pagerank export on the way.

Just to give you a heads-up, I think a new set of backlinks (and possibly PageRank) will probably be visible relatively soon; Iâ€™m guessing within the next few days. I still expect some flux after that though, just to let you know.
