As you probably have heard, Yahoo has laid off over 1,000 employees to help it focus on its search and advertising businesses. This happened after yahoo posted higher fourth-quarter revenue than a year ago but a lower net profit.

And surprisingly, the lady with beauty and talent, Jessica Bowman, who had the dual role of Senior SEO Manager and SEO Evangelist at Yahoo also received her pinkslip this week.

As you know by now, life at Yahoo! wasn’t pleasant this week and I’m happy to report that that their in-house SEO program is now so good, that I was laid off!

I knew that my job would be done when an in-house evangelist wasn’t needed anymore. On the way out I got hugs from engineers… it was a job well done.
