Local.com the leading search engine recently announced the launch of powerful new site navigation and a refined user interface.
The enhanced Local.com web interface offers a sleeker look and feel on the search results page, with fewer ad units. The site now displays a three-column design to provide space for the shrewd navigation panel, which provides several advanced features such as:
- Sort search results by rating, distance, business name and category.
- View search results within a defined radius.
- Filter results by related categories and nearby cities.
- Sort by star ratings and read user reviews.
- Access recent searches, which are now automatically saved for easy reference.
This came few days after launching its Local Verified annual fee-based paid placement product, and weeks after the debut of Local Promote landing page product. The SERP modifications should help the company continue to gain strong ground among users, as the site experience has enhanced their services in a great deal.
Local.com contains information of over 16 million businesses nationwide, and recently introduced its Local Promote Service. Local Promote allows businesses to list and update their business information on this local search engine. It also further increases the accuracy and relevance of search results on Local.com. It is currently receiving hundreds of requests per day from businesses wanting to update their profiles, and it is expected that these businesses will be targeted mostly with the company’s other local ad products.
