The 360 Cities is a new website which basically displays a Google Maps mashup from which you can launch fully 3-Dimensional panorama photos of different locations. Instead of just going through the photos from their website, you can also add the 360 Cities mapplet in your Google Maps. Jeffrey Martin from Prague, Czech Republic, reports saying that he started this just 8 months ago and that it’s “starting to mushroom into the world’s largest VR photography network in the world†with currently 45 cities, and over 5,000 spherical panoramas.
I found the interface layouts of the site pretty inconsistent; for instance the launch page is completely different from the city overview page which is Also very different from the panorama page. However I must say that the Quicktime based panoramas are simply brilliant.
